2/10/09 – Independent Research Analysis Completed for Applied Research Utilizing “Psycforce Solution” in a Public Sector Dual Diagnosis Treatment Setting
In a one-year study at an OMH certified dual diagnosed day treatment program, eight clinicians/practitioners utilized Psycforce Solutions with 54 consumers in nonrandomized design. Results compared to consumers attending same program, psychiatric day treatment, and outpatient clinic.
Results of the independent research revealed:
- Outcome results (e.g., 49% reduction in psychiatric admissions; 38% increased consumer retention; 58% faster attainment of treatment objectives);
- Impact on clinician/practitioner behaviors (e.g., significant increase in frequency and diversity of treatment goals);
- Improvement in process measures (e.g., increase comprehensiveness and sophistication of assessments; increase in consumer-clinician/practitioner agreement of problem severity)
- Treatment provider received maximum recertification and complementary feedback from site reviewer from New York State Office of Mental Health.
